Christian Education
At Kirkridge, Christian education is at the heart of our mission. We spread knowledge and Christ's teachings through engaging crafts, activities, discussions, and, most importantly, games. Our approach is designed to make learning about faith fun and meaningful for children.
We utilize a simple "why" question approach that encourages children to reflect on different levels of scripture readings. This method helps them connect personally with the lessons and understand their deeper meanings. Children even engage in small debates, sharing their own experiences and insights. This interactive process not only enhances their understanding of life and the bible but also fosters critical thinking.
In addition to discussions, our program includes games, puzzles, and crafts, making each session dynamic and enjoyable. After these activities, we gather in the fellowship hall to enjoy treats and drinks, fostering a sense of community and friendship.
Children learn not only from the teacher but also from each other. Their thoughts and connections often surprise and inspire all of us. Our Christian education program is a wonderful place where the love, passion, and commitment of Christ meet fun with friends.
Youth Group
The Kirkridge Youth Group meets Wednesday evenings for game nights from 7-8:30pm (Sept-May)
Sunday School
Sunday School meets each Sunday during worship (Sept-May). Children start out the service in the sanctuary and then receive a special children's message from Rev. Kate before being dismissed to Sunday School for the remainder of the service.

Feasting on the Word Curriculum follows the Revised Common Lectionary and allows everyone to explore the same Bible passage each week. This makes it easy for families to live out their faith together. This curriculum invites learners from children through adults into the rhythm of the church year. Leaders are provided with a solid biblical background from the well-known commentary Feasting on the Word. Explore the what, where, so what, and now what of each biblical passage from the lectionary through a variety of learning and teaching styles. Joining the Feast connects education with worship offering suggestions to use during the worship service.
